Why we built PersonalFi

“Manage your
money better.”

A couple sits at the kitchen table after the kids go to bed.

Two incomes. Nobody is buying a boat. They still have fourteen passwords, three payment dates they can’t remember, an insurance bill they don’t understand, and a credit card balance that barely moves.

“How did we get here?”

Picture the meetings where each piece was built.

The lender wanted the loan to look affordable, so the statement leads with the monthly payment.

The store wanted a bigger cart, so checkout offers four easy payments.

The streaming service wanted people to stay, so signing up takes ten seconds and cancelling takes a phone call.

Each meeting had a spreadsheet, and each spreadsheet measured something reasonable: sales, interest income, retention.

None of them measured how much room was left in that couple’s head.

Their paycheck lands on one schedule. Bills land on another. A medical bill interrupts both. They move money, miss a date, pay a late fee, and promise to sort it out on Sunday.

On Sunday the kids need help with homework and the dog is sick. The spreadsheet waits.

Nobody in those meetings tried to wreck that family’s finances. Each team kept reporting that its part was working.

And when the family fell behind, the advice they got was four words long:

“Manage your money better.”

We built PersonalFi for the people at that table.

It spreads every bill across the month and shows one number each morning: what came in, what today cost, and what's safe to spend. Every credit card sits on the same screen, falling toward zero, with the day it gets there.

Money belongs in the conversation with health and stress. This is where that conversation starts.
